NILES -- Robert D. Williams, 71, passed away on Thursday morning, July 30, 2026, in the emergency department at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
He was born April 4, 1955, in Warren, Ohio, the son of Robert G. and Hazel E. James Williams and resided in this community his entire life.
Bob was a 1973 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and worked for many years in the maintenance department at RMI Titanium in Niles. He enjoyed fishing, attending drag races, watching NASCAR, WWF wrestling and spending Friday nights cheering on the Niles McKinley Red Dragon football team.
Bob is survived by his son, Robert A. Williams of Niles; two sisters, Lori (James) Julian and Barbara (Kenneth) Werden, both of Niles; and nieces and nephews, Jennifer (Shawn) Crank, Ryan (Kristen) Werden, Jimmy Julian, Chris Julian, and Katie (Ian) Schlabs.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patricia JoAnn Williams.
A family funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, in the Chapel of Kerr Cemetery. Burial will follow in Kerr Cemetery.
The Rev. David Conrad of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Niles will officiate.
