BRISTOLVILLE -- Richard L. Ellis, 81, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, at his home in Bristolville.
He was born Nov. 15, 1944, in Warren, a son of the late Russell Ellis and the late Elizabeth Markle.
Richard married Brenda Peterson Ellis on July 27, 1985, and they shared 32 years of marriage until her passing on June 3, 2018.
He was a graduate of the former Warren Township High School in 1964 and was employed as a machine assembler at Astro Technical Services before his retirement in 2010.
Richard was a veteran of the United States Navy and proudly served during the Vietnam War.
Richard's hobbies included carpentry, woodworking, pinstriping cars, and especially working on vans with his wife by his side. He was an active member of the Buckeye Van Association and enjoyed camping at various campgrounds.
Richard's memories will be cherished by his son, Christopher (Wendy Bosma) Ellis of McDonald; and grandchildren, Michael, Michaela and Anthony.
In addition to his parents and wife, Brenda, he was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Andrea Marie Wolf; and a brother, Ronald Ellis.
There are no services. Cremation has taken place.
