MIDDLEFIELD -- R. Thomas Briggs, 93, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, at UH-Geauga Medical Center.
He was born July 22, 1933, a son of Lyle and Mary Waid Briggs.
He retired as a teacher in the Berkshire Schools, had worked in the Geauga Schools and had been a treasurer of Geauga Credit Union.
Survivors include his children, Frank Briggs, Rick Briggs, Jane Apicella and Mike Briggs; nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth A. Briggs, and one brother.
There are no services at this time.
