BRACEVILLE -- Michael Lewis Wilson Dugan, 82, of Braceville, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2026, of natural causes.
He was born on Oct. 7, 1943, in Butler, Pa. He lived a life marked by devotion to his family and a warm appreciation for the simple joys that brought them together. Mike was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, with whom he shared 62 loving years of marriage; his children, Michael (Sharon) Dugan, Carol Nichols, and Cynthia (Chris) McCoy; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandy, Molly, Dolly and Tina; and a brother, Jim; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will cherish the memory of him.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Becky.
Mike proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. After his honorable discharge, he went on to work for Packard Electric as a stationary engineer, where he retired after 40 years of employment. Mike found joy in the traditions and pleasures of everyday life. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and looked forward to watching the games on Sundays with his family. Those afternoons were often filled with conversation, laughter and the shared hope that comes with being a loyal Browns fan through every season. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at various polka dancing venues, where the music created lasting memories. Mike will be remembered for his kind heart, his steady presence and his devotion to the people who mattered to him the most. He lived a full life, and he leaves behind a legacy of love.
Though his passing leaves a deep void, the memory of Mike Dugan will remain a source of comfort and strength to those who loved him.
There will be no calling hours.
A private Mass will begin at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2026, at St. Mary and St. Joseph Church, 131 W. Quarry St., Newton Falls.
