HOWLAND -- Lois Dorothy Goffin Lenhart, 94, a resident of Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Home, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1932, in Warren, to Lewis and Dorothy Lutz Goffin. Her mother passed away when she was 7 years old. She grew up on the Lutz Farm in Warren Township, and graduated from Leavittsburg High School in 1950. Lois married the love of her life, Wayne Lenhart, on Oct. 17, 1953, at Christ Our King Church in Warren. She worked at Ohio Lamp before quitting to become a homemaker and mother.
Lois was known for her love of pigs and her extensive collection of pig figurines, statues and calendars. She also had a love of golf, card games, bowling, traveling, camping, cooking and baking. Most of all, Lois enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a long-time member of a neighborhood women's card club, TOPS, and Holiday Camplands. She was of the Catholic faith, receiving her early sacraments at St. Mary's Church in downtown Warren, and later belonged to Christ Our King, St. Pius, and St. Joseph churches until their closings.
Lois and Wayne shared 68 years of marriage before his passing. They built their first and second homes on Kibler Toot Road, down the street from the Lutz Farm where she was raised and had several aunts, uncles and cousins living on the same street. She was a devoted mother.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne; her son, Richard; and her brother, Ralph Goffin.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children, Dorothy and Ross (Gayle); three grandchildren, Anthony (Maggie), Brian (Susan) and Scott (Chelsea); and 10 great-grandchildren, Sophie, Anthony, Grayce, Joseph, Eliana, Matthew, Cameron, Natallie, Calvin and Abigail.
A visitation will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home. A prayer service will begin at 11:30 a.m., with the Rev. Fr. Ed Stafford officiating, followed by a luncheon and celebration of Lois' life. Close friends and relatives are encouraged to come.
Lois will be laid to rest, later that afternoon, in St. Mary's Cemetery, Warren.
