MIDDLEFIELD TOWNSHIP -- Joe J. "Yogi" Byler Jr., 69, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at home while surrounded by his family.
He was born July 14, 1957, in Burton, to Joe J. and Cora Miller Byler Sr.
Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vonda Trask Byler; children, Josh Byler, Sally Schamberg and Trisha Byler; five grandchildren; brother, Mahlon Byler; and sisters, Saloma Miller and Mary Ann Miller.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services will be noon Tuesday at Best Funeral Home, Middlefield. Friends and family may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Middlefield Cemetery.
