FARMDALE - Janette R. Dodd, 80, of Farmdale, passed away Friday, Aug. 21, 2026, at Hospice House.
She was born April 6, 1946, in Norton, W.Va., a daughter of the late Obert L. Roy and the late Kathleen B. Edmond Roy.
On April 30, 1966, she married Kenneth L. Dodd, and they spent the next 54 years together.
She was a graduate of Philip Barbour High School and retired from Packard Electric after almost 20 years.
Janette was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was also a member of the Cortland Moose Lodge.
Janette loved bird watching, working in her garden, crocheting and traveling.
She is survived by her son, Jon Dodd of Harman, W.Va.; grandchildren, Kathleen Bolyard of Farmdale, Kenneth Bolyard of South Charleston, Zeb Dodd of Harman, W.Va.; great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Everett, Zaydan and Mary Jane; and a sister, Mary Carr of Bristolville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband, Kenneth Leroy Dodd; daughter, Wendi L. Bolyard; as well as four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
The family will be having a celebration of life for Janette following the calling hours.
She will be laid to rest with family in West Virginia.
