NILES -- Gary Ronald Miller Jr., 64, passed away peacefully Monday morning, Aug. 17, 2026.
He was born Aug. 2, 1962, in Somerset, Pa., a son of Harry and Lucille Oakman Miller.
Gary was a maintenance manager for the Leadec Company at General Motors in Lordstown. He was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Warren, and enjoyed old classic cars and watching Western movies. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Most of all, he cherished the time spent with his loving family and grandchildren.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle "Shelly" Johnson and Chip Rhoads of Sandusky; three sons, Gary R. Miller Jr. of Ellaville, Georgia, Joshua (Tiffany) Miller of Monticello, Georgia, and Justin (Brittany) Miller of Berlin Center; nine grandchildren, Alexis, Aleyah, Houston, Madison, Peyton, Abigail, Madelynne, Easton and Kaiden; a great-grandson, Atlas; a sister, Louise O'Neal of Florida; and a brother, Robert "Bob" (Gina) Miller of Niles.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah K. Boggs Miller, whom he married on Dec. 8, 1986, and who passed away on March 19, 2024; a brother, William "Bill" Miller; a brother-in-law, Robert "Bob" Ward; and a dog, Roxy.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 2026, at the Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Pastor Michael Cline officiating.
A private burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
