WARREN -- Doris Blake Layton Turner, 95, died Monday, July 27, 2026, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Newark, New Jersey, a daughter of Walter Blake-El and Lillie Dudley.
She retired as a registered nurse at Washington Square Nursing Home. She was a member of the Valley Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Winston Frederick Layton Jr. of Warren; daughters, Doreen P. Layton and Ruby Baker, both of Warren; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Turner.
Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m., with funeral services at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the Valley Baptist Church
Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
Arrangements were by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home.
