BRISTOLVILLE -- Donald J. Lanahan Sr., 86, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026.
Donald was born on March 26, 1940, in Warren, Ohio, a son of the late William and Helen Marshall Lanahan.
He served as president of the Bristol 300 Club, where he helped raise money to support local athletics. Donald enjoyed golfing and gardening, but above all, he cherished spending time with his family.
Donald will be deeply missed by his sons, Donald Lanahan and James (Robin) Lanahan; his grandchildren, Brook and Theresa; three great-grandchildren; and his sister, Patricia Derr.
Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Lanahan; his son, Michael Lanahan; and his brother, Glen Vesey.
Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, 2026, at Lane Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel, 164 N. High St., Cortland, OH 44410.
A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2026, at St. William Catholic Church, 5411 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, OH 44483, with the Rev. Fr. Brian Cline officiating.
Donald will be laid to rest in All Souls Cemetery.
