WARREN -- Debra J. DeCost, 73, entered into eternal rest Monday, Aug. 10, 2026, at home, with her daughter holding her hands and surrounded by her adoring family.
She was born Nov. 25, 1952, in Warren, the daughter of Robert and Norma Kennedy Slyk.
A 1970 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, Debra worked for Rite Aid for many years until their closing. With her husband, Steve, she was co-owner of ADM Tire for over 25 years.
Debra was all about family. She lived for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and waited for her FaceTime call each day from her great-grandsons, Cash, Luke and Jett. She enjoyed shopping with her favorite girl, especially at the outlet malls. She loved to travel with Steve around the U.S. and in the Caribbean. There were many weekend trips to Morgantown, W.Va., and the entire family became Mountaineer fans.
Debra was a longtime member of St. Pius X and St. Joseph Catholic churches.
Precious memories of Debra live on with her daughter and son-in-law, Kristina and Christopher Tominey of Warren; her sons, Steven Jr. (Felicia) of Boardman and Chad DeCost and his family of Newton Falls; her grandchildren, Alex and Kendra Tominey, Chase and Destiney Tominey, Chad, Nicholas (Mandi) and Dalton DeCost; her great-grandchildren, Cash, Luke and Jett Tominey, Gianna, Matteo and Kai DeCost, and baby girl Tominey, due in November; four bonus daughters, Lori C., Melanie V., Tammy M. and Teresa B.; and her four-legged BFF, Skye, the great Jack Russell.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her beloved husband of 43 years, Steven DeCost Sr., whom she married March 6, 1971, and who passed Oct. 13, 2014; and her grandson, Blake Tominey.
Calling hours will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Father Ed Stafford officiating. All who know and love Debra are welcome to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.
