WARREN -- Cyndee "Cid" O'Brien, 65, passed away surrounded by love on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, after a long battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 15, 1960, in Warren,a daughter of the late Hartsel and Caroline Lauth Vanscoy.
She was a graduate of Chalker High School, Class of 1978.
Cyndee worked as a cook and manager at Mary M's Family Restaurant for 28 years. She enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, telling stories, crocheting, watching movies, listening to music, painting; and spending time with her daughters.
Her stories and loving memories will be carried on by her daughters, Caroline "Carrie" O'Brien of Columbus and Terra O'Brien of Warren; her brother, Charles "Chuck" Vanscoy, and his wife, Ronnale of Farmdale; nieces, Miriah Vanscoy and Olivia (Christopher) Tweed; and her friend and former husband, Terrence O'Brien of Warren.
She will be deeply missed.
A private cremation has taken place, and no services will take place at her request.
Cyndee requested material contributions be made, in her memory, to the Healthy Hearts and Paws Project.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
