BROOKSVILLE, Fla. -- Cheryl Ann Jones transitioned peacefully to heaven on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, under the care of hospice.
She was born on June 5, 1945, in Youngstown, to Paul and Betty Jones.
Cheryl created a family of five with her first husband, Thomas Baun, who passed away in 2025. Also in heaven awaiting their mother are two of her sons, Thomas Baun Jr., and Timothy Baun. There is comfort in knowing that she is reunited with them again at this time.
Cheryl leaves her loving son, James (Nicole) Baun of Youngstown, Chris (Tonya) Baun of Brooksville, Florida, and her daughter, Kimberly (Scott) Potts. She also leaves behind many grandchildren; one sister, Janice Monico; and one brother, James Jones.
Over time, Cheryl faced many challenges and tribulations. She held strong to become a loving caregiver and LPN. She truly enjoyed working hard and loved her career. She always cared for those who needed extra help in this world. Cheryl also strongly loved her four-legged babies, Bandit and Sammy.
There will be no services, per her request, as memories will last a lifetime.
May Cheryl's life remind us all to live authentically, embrace uncertainty, pursue growth, and value meaningful connections with each other. Love fearlessly and be the reason someone smiles.
