Timothy C. Wolfe 1946-2026

CHAMPION -- Timothy Craig Wolfe, 79, of Champion, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2026, after an extended illness.

He was born on Nov. 13, 1946, in Warren, to Donald Wolfe and Frances Shively.

Tim was a proud United States Marine Corps veteran who served during the Vietnam War and carried his pride in serving his country throughout his life. He was sincerely grateful for the exceptional care and compassion shown to him by the nurses at the VA, his cardiologist, Dr. Sundaram, his cardiologist's nurse Colleen, and Dr. Fantuzzo of Ravenna, and often expressed his appreciation for their dedication.

For much of his life, Tim worked as a dairy farmer for Wolfe and Sons Dairy, alongside his father and brother, continuing the family trade until the mid-1990s. He later became a self-employed contractor, working locally and also with the VA to remodel and modify homes to make them more accessible for fellow veterans.

Health and wellness were lifelong passions for Tim. He competed as a bodybuilder, placing in the Mr. Ohio competition, and was a Shaklee distributor, sharing his enthusiasm for vitamins and supplements with athletes and others.

On June 19, 1971, Tim married the love of his life, Patricia Knowlton, and together they built a loving family. Tim was a devoted father to his four daughters, Kimberly (Edward Jr.) Hlas of Howland, Tracy (Timothy) Wolfe-Cope of Champion, Amanda (Kal) Wolfe-Elampooranar of Chandler, Arizona, and Marlena (Maarten) Wolfe-van den Berg of Arnhem, Netherlands.

He was an extraordinary and attentive grandfather to Carly (Josh), Joey (Kayla), Preston, Collin, Luisa (Tanner), Kalen, Kameron, Noah and Avery, who brought him great joy and pride. Throughout his illness, Tim's sister, Kay O'Donnell, a retired nurse, cared for him. He was a proud brother to Kay, Lori James and Ron Wolfe Sr.

Tim also leaves behind his beloved animals who were at his side always: Leo, Scarlett and Lily.

Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, and his parents, Donald and Frances.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service on Saturday.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the funeral home.
