WARREN -- Sylvia Jean Foster Logan, 72, died Saturday, July 19, 2026.
She was born Sept. 9, 1953, in Petrey, Alabama, the daughter of Willie Ben Foster and Annie Marie Fisher Foster.
She served as a correctional adviser with CCA and as a community and social services worker at Riverbend Treatment Center.
She was a member of House of Prayer Church in Garrettsville and later Bristolville Christian Harbor
Besides her mother of Aurora, Sylvia leaves eight children, Keith Canty of El Paso, Texas, Carla Logan of Cornersburg, Ocie Logan of Columbus, Nicole Logan Short of Charlotte, North Carolina, Damon Logan of North Dakota, Justin Logan of North Dakota, James P. Logan of Warren and A'Veryn Foster of Warren. She also leaves 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Carl Foster of Warren and Willie Foster of Georgia; three sisters, Sandra Foster of Warren, Yvonne Foster of Elyria and Gwendolyn Foster of Aurora.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, James Logan, her father, and a sister.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Aug. 1, 2026, at Bristoville Christian Harbor, 17887 Houselcraft Road, Bristoville.
Family will receive cards and condolences at the home of her daughter, Carla Logan, 3080 Sunnybrooke Drive, Youngstown.
Arrangements were handled by Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, Warren.
