VERNON -- Susan Mable Wolford, 83, passed away Sunday morning, July 19, 2026, at Elmwood Assisted Living in Hubbard.
Susan was born on Oct. 28, 1942, in Williamsfield, a daughter of the late Ernest and Julia Morse.
She was a graduate of Gustavus High School and worked at Mahoning National Bank in Kinsman as a teller for 20 years before retiring.
On Nov. 25, 1961, she married the love of her life, Ronald Wolford.
She was a member and active supporter of Vernon United Methodist Church for over 50 years. She was also a Vernon Township clerk for 30 years.
She enjoyed gardening, baking her famous pies, following her children with their sports and spending time with her grandchildren.
Susan will be deeply missed by her three children, Karen J. (Tedd) Kunkel of Greenville, Pa., Ronald W. Wolford of Newton Falls and Sharon R. Snell of Kinsman; eight grandchildren, Teddy, Karina, Hannah (Roy) McGirr, Caitlyn, Ethan, Abby, Sabrina and Leah (Will) Garlock; five great-grandchildren, Riley, Waylon, Liam, Emersyn and Easton; siblings, Franz Morse of Easley, South Carolina, and Julie Ann Morse of Kinsman; sister-in-law, Sandy Wolford; and brother-in-law, Don (Kathy) Wolford.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ernie Morse; sisters, Nettie Fetters, Mary Clay, Bessie Siekkinen, Frances Hines, Almedah Evans and Colleen Hartman; and brother-in-law, John Wolford.
Per Susan's wishes, there will be a memorial service at a later date and arrangements were entrusted with Baumgardner Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Kinsman.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Living Water Methodist Church in Johnston.
Susan's family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Elmwood Assisted Living for the exceptional care, support, and compassion they provided throughout Susan's stay.
