NILES -- Sandra L. Vigorito, 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 24, 2026, at Shepherd of the Valley Liberty with her daughters at her side.
She was born on Aug. 30, 1944, the daughter of Dominic and Ann Kulish Cretella. Sandra attended school in McDonald and was very artistic.
Sandra was a homemaker and member of St. Pope John XXIII Parish-St. Stephen Church, Niles, with a strong faith in her Lord Jesus. She was a cook at various restaurants. She enjoyed casino trips, dancing, traveling, fishing, gardening and crafts. She was an excellent cook and baker and hosted holidays, family picnics and parties, enjoying time spent with family.
She will be greatly missed by her two daughters, Theresa (George) Rohland and Maria Laskay (John), both of Niles; a sister, Marlene Ravenscraft of Wheatland, Pa.; her grandsons, Anthony Day, Robert Day, Matthew Rohland (Jaime) and Michael Rohland (Lucie); a great-grandson, Carter Day; a great-granddaughter due in September; numerous nieces and nephews; and her sweet dog, Angel.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Joseph Vigorito III and Dominic Vigorito; the father of her children, Joseph Vigorito Jr.; a brother, Walter Cretella; a brother-in-law, David Ravenscraft; and her longtime companion, David McCloskey.
Private services will take place on Thursday.
Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
Arrangements were handled by the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home, Niles.
