Robert A. Williams 1947-2026

MINERAL RIDGE -- Robert A. "Bob" Williams, 78, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Bob was born July 22, 1947, in Warren, a son of the late Lloyd and June Campbell Williams.

On Sept. 14, 1968, Bob married Jullane Minick. During their nearly 58 years of marriage, they built a life together in Mineral Ridge surrounded by family.

Bob will be remembered for his calm, soft-spoken, and easygoing nature and for treating others with kindness and consideration. Those who knew him will also fondly remember his signature phrase, "whatchacall," which found its way into nearly every conversation.

Bob had a long career in banking from 1966 until his retirement in 1991. He was also a dedicated, longtime member of the Kiwanis Club of Niles.

After retiring, Bob opened Bob's Performance Diecast in Warren. An avid collector with a particular fondness for Hot Wheels, he enjoyed sharing his hobby with others. Through his business, Bob made many lifelong friends and deeply appreciated their friendship and support.

Bob leaves behind his devoted wife, Jullane Williams; his daughters, Vanessa (Joe) Warneke and Aleshia (Ben) Beard; his granddaughters, Jessica (Josh) Mewhinney and Brooklynn Beard; his great-granddaughter, Evelyn Mewhinney; and his brother, Ronald (Debbie) Williams.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Addison Beard.

His family will receive relatives and friends 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, 2026, at Lane Funeral Home, Mineral Ridge Chapel, 1350 North Canfield Niles Road, Mineral Ridge, OH 44440, with a funeral service at 11 a.m.

Bob will be laid to rest in Niles Union Cemetery.

Bob's family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank-you to nurses Ashley and Samantha of Sanctuary Hospice for the compassionate care and support they provided to Bob and his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cincinnati Children's Hospital or to the Angie Fowler Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Institute at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland.
