WARREN -- Merle J. McVicker, 90, of Warren, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at his home.
He was born June 15, 1936, in Somerset, Pa., a son of the late Walter McVicker and Carrie E. Cramer McVicker.
On Nov. 27, 1961, he married the love of his life, Joan, with whom he spent 64 wonderful years.
He proudly served our country in the United States Air Force, and worked in construction for 30 years with Warren Engineering.
Merle loved hunting, fishing for walleye at Mosquito Lake and especially spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joan E. McVicker of Warren; his daughter, Carrie Kroesen of Warren; his brother, Tilden "Terry" C. McVicker of Warren; and his eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Merle McVicker Jr. and Timothy E. McVicker; siblings, Betty Whittaker, Linda Carol DeMattio, Thelma McKinley, Walter McVicker, Gene McVicker, Paul McVicker, Kenneth McVicker, Jacqueline R. McVicker and Dolly McVicker; and his grandson, Merle J. McVicker.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, where Pastor Jim Dittmar will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Pine Knoll Cemetery, Warren Township.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Carl W. Hall Funeral Service.
