Margaret L. Broll 1958-2026

Margaret was born July 17, 1958, in Youngstown, the fifth of eight children of Jack and Evelyn Miller Broll. She was preceded in death by her parents; her maternal and paternal grandparents; a sister, Laura; a brother, Richard; brothers-in-law, Thomas Flood and William Chachko; along with several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Margaret was a 1976 graduate of Joseph Badger High School, Kinsman. Here in Ohio, Margaret had many jobs in retail, at the Avalon Inn and Mr. D’s, before moving to Carlisle. In Carlisle, she worked at the Carlisle Commissary until her retirement.

She is survived by five sisters, Joycelyn Flood of Elyria, Alice (Earl Smith Jr.) of Gustavus, Carol (Gary) Rock of Hurt, Virginia, Jacquelyn Chachko of Hartford and Susan (Robert) Ferguson of Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was a very proud aunt to seven nephews; four nieces; and 10 great-nephews and seven great-nieces.

She enjoyed reading, bingo and baking. Her friends and family meant a lot to her, and she would always help in any way she could.

Funeral services were performed by Hoffman Funeral Home in Carlisle, Pa.

Family members and friends are welcome to gather and to celebrate and remember the life of Margaret L. Broll 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Liberty Assembly Church, 6779 Belmont Ave., Girard (Liberty Township).
