Cheryl Donahue 1968-2026
WARREN — Cheryl “Chere” Donahue, 57, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, surrounded by the love, warmth and light of her family.
Preceding her in death were her mother, Kathleen Marko of Girard; brother, Joseph Sankey III, also of Girard; grandmother, Lucille Miles of Niles; and grandfather, Peter Zordich, also of Niles.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, PJ and Chris; sisters, Kathleen Sankey and Debbie Schuller; father, Joseph Sankey II; son-in-law, Nathaniel Hilliard; niece, Macy Mrofchak; her beloved dog, Jovi; and countless friends, cousins and family.
Chere worked as a waitress, bartender and truck driver, but her real passion was Jon Bon Jovi. Often calling herself “the biggest Bon Jovi freak in Ohio,” she attended countless concerts over the years.
Those who knew her would say her personality was larger than life itself. She was a grand-opening enthusiast, winning free food often by being in the first 100 customers. Her laugh filled rooms and invited everyone to laugh with her.
Chere was a talented cook, an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a huge lover of reality TV, and her favorite spot on Earth was anywhere she could swim. Her memory will bring forth endless joy and her laughter will never be lost from the minds of those she loved.
A celebration of life will take place 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2026, at ITAM 30, 2354 Youngstown Road SE, Warren.
Arrangements were entrusted to Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NE, Warren, OH 44483, 330-394-6200. Dedicated to serving your loved ones. This obituary may be viewed and condolences sent to www.statonborowskifuneralhome.com.
