WARREN -- Charles William Owens Jr., 72, died Saturday, July 4, 2026, following injuries from a pedestrian auto accident.
He was born May 26, 1954, in Warren, a son of Charles William Sr. and Grace Alee Owens.
He was employed at Ohio Lamp and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sons, Charles William III of Mesa, Arizona; LaTroy McMillian of Warren; Anthony Mendez of Howland; and Marlin and Braylon Black, both of Youngstown; daughters, Charla and Shonda Owens, and Diamond Bobbitt, all of Warren; Shayla Owens of Niles; Myia and Brittany Black, both of Youngstown; Angela Lee of Phoenix, Arizona; and Chalamar Owens-Cromartie of Fayetteville, North Carolina; his mother of Mesa, Arizona; brothers, Ivan Owens of Tucson, Arizona; Jeffrey Owens of Fremont, California; Lester Owens of Stockton, California; and Robert Owens of Germany; sisters, Judith Hubbard of Akron, Kimberly Hamilton-Owens of Mesa, Arizona, and Chinita Owens of Columbus; 27 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Charles was preceded in death by one son, Ian Lee, one brother and two sisters.
Calling hours will be 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home, with services at 2 p.m.
