Casey A. Claypool-Liptak 1993-2026

NILES -- Casey Anne Claypool-Liptak, 32, of Niles, passed away in her sleep after suffering severe headaches, on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Born Dec. 22, 1993, in Warren, Casey was the daughter of John W. Claypool and Brenda L. Claypool.

She worked as a receptionist for Hampton Inn.

She graduated with honors from Niles McKinley, where she was also a member of the Niles Eagles shooting team. She was a Girl Scout, obtaining bronze standing before her troop disbanded, and had donated her hair to help children of cancer.

She then attended the College of Wooster, where she studied Russian studies. Casey served as a counselor for at-risk and addicted teens through A.C.T.A., volunteered on numerous projects benefiting the beautification of Youngstown, and loved her cats.

She cherished her family and friends. Especially her daughter Althea, who was everything to her.

She is survived by her mother, Brenda Claypool; father, John Claypool; her daughter, Althea Liptak; her brother, Connor Claypool; fiance, Cory Vukovich; aunt, Carol Claypool; and uncle, George (Susan) Claypool; and many relatives and friends.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2026, with services following at 5 p.m., at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with Pastor Dan Squezello officiating.
