Bruce E. Bundy 1960-2026
JEFFERSON — Bruce E. Bundy, 65, passed away unexpectedly Monday, June 1, 2026, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 18, 1960, in Warren, a son of the late Lester and Betty Richards Bundy.
He was a man of strong work ethic, deep loyalty and simple pleasures. He dedicated 34 years of hard work to the steel mill before earning his well-deserved retirement.
Outside of work, Bruce lived life to the fullest on his own terms. He was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and joy while hunting, fishing, trapping and just goofing off. He loved the freedom of the open road on his motorcycles and was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends, invariably with a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon in hand with more not too far away.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving daughter, Jackie; his beloved mother, Betty; daughter-in-law, Megan (Nick); three sisters; one brother; his grandchildren, Kristina “Tina” (Austin), Isiah (Nina), Jason, Ivan, Zoey, Kahrye, Angel and Gabe; and his great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Emiley.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his two sons, Nicholas Bundy and Jason Sweeney; his sister, Annett; his niece, Melody; and his ex-wife, Cindy Bundy, whom he still greatly cared for throughout his life.
His sudden passing leaves a profound void. Bruce will be remembered for his rugged spirit, dedication to his loved ones and the unforgettable moments shared around the table, campfire and garage.
Bruce will be laid to rest in Cherry Valley Cemetery on U.S. Route 6.
Family and friends may come to the cemetery to pay their respects at 1 p.m. Monday, July 6, 2026. Everyone is welcome, following the cemetery, to join in the celebration of his life and to share memories with one another at his home.
Arrangements for Mr. Bundy were provided by Baumgarnder Funeral and Cremation Service, 134 Prospect St., Andover, OH 44003.
