LEAVITTSBURG -- Barbara Louise Williams, age 87, of Leavittsburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital.
Barbara was born on Sept. 6, 1938, in Warren, a daughter of Frank Orhovec and Barbara Miller.
She was a graduate of Niles McKinley High School and worked as a compositor for the Warren Tribune.
Barbara enjoyed a full and active life. She attended Howland United Methodist Church, exercised regularly at the SCOPE Center, was an avid bingo player, an Elvis fan, and looked forward each year to attending the Slovak Festival, where she especially enjoyed the polka dancing. She also loved reading and crocheting, though she often joked that cooking was never one of her favorite pastimes. Through every challenge in life, Barbara met it with a smile.
She is survived by her son, Charles (Judy) Williams; her daughter, Celia Banish; grandchildren, Kristina Marie (Robert) Rhine, Jessica Anne (David) Bowman, Kurtis Joseph, Desa Renee and Jacob Weston; great-grandchildren, Trenton, Alyssa, Cooper, Riley, Tyler, Kari, Justus, Destiny and Alfrieda; and great-great-grandchild, Kaleb.
Family and friends will be received from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, Warren, where funeral services will begin at 7 p.m., with Pastor Rick Oaks officiating.
Interment will take place in Girard Cemetery.
