Phyllis A. Knox 1936-2026

She was born Nov. 9, 1936, in Addison, Pa., a daughter of the late Naylor F. and Blanche M. Brenneman Glotfelty.

Phyllis worked for various companies through the years doing secretarial / clerical work.

She was of Lutheran faith and was a member of Lordstown Lutheran Church.

On Sept. 25, 1954, Phyllis married Donald D. Knox; together, they shared 71 years of marriage until his passing Dec. 28, 2025.

Phyllis enjoyed quilting, sewing and playing the piano. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and preparing meals for her family.

She is survived by her two children, Brenda (John) Lansdowne of East Palestine and Keith (Michelle) Knox of Lordstown; her brother, David (Jerry) Glotfelty of Addison, Pa.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; her sister, Kathy Erickson; and her brother, Ed Glotfelty.

Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Lordstown Lutheran Church, 5615 Palmyra Road, Warren, OH 44481. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Pastor Steve Brown will officiate.

Following services at the church, cremation will take place, and she will be laid to rest along with her husband, Donald, in Addison Cemetery in Addison, Pa.

The family requests that material contributions be made in Phyllis’ name to Lordstown Lutheran Church.
