Norris Fonnest 1943-2026

He was born Feb. 1, 1943, in Tintah, Minnesota, a son of Henry and Anna “Pearl” Iler Fonnest.

Ted served in the Air Force from April 21, 1960, until Jan. 27, 1964, in the 1611th Supply Squadron. He later retired from General Motors.

Ted was a good pool player and enjoyed maintaining his yard and flower garden. He loved his dog, Barkley, aka Fido, who would sit with him in his chair and watch Westerns with him. Ted was a kind man, loved by many, always willing to help anyone he could.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sharon (Clark) Fonnest; daughters, Michelle (John) Rutherford and Joy (Aaron) Natali; brother, Henry (Trinda) Fonnest Jr.; grandchildren, Kyle Jewell, Brianne Jewell, Alex Wedge, Jenna Arbogast, Joey Arbogast, Jade Natali, Cory Meyers and Aaron Natali Jr.; and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kristina Jewell; sister, Janice Miller; and brothers, Daniel Fonnest, Steve Fonnest and Reid Barnt.

There are no funeral services at this time.

Cremation services have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.

Ted will be deeply missed by family and friends; he will forever be in our hearts.
