Nola Hunt 1935-2026

LEAVITTSBURG — Nola Hunt, 90, passed away peacefully at 4 a.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at her daughter’s home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Oct. 4, 1935, in Philippi, W.Va., Nola was the daughter of the late Willie and Catherine Freeman.

On Nov. 19, 1955, she married the love of her life, Carl Hunt; together they shared 64 years of marriage before his passing.

Nola worked in the laundry department at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was a faithful member of Beacon of Hope Church in Warren. She cherished time spent with her family and enjoyed quilting, cooking and caring for others. Nola was known for feeding anyone who came to her door and for sharing her homemade bread with friends from her church.

Her kindness, generosity and unwavering faith touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be remembered for her warm heart, servant’s spirit and the love she shared with her family, friends and church community.

She is survived by her children, Carletta (Chris) Bervish, Cathy Hunt and Ernest (Sherri) Hunt; her brother, Lester Freeman; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Willie and Catherine Freeman, Nola was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Hunt; her son, Eugene Hunt; her sisters, Lillian, Hazel, Nellie, Ades, Reta and Ola; and her brothers, Ernest, Billie and James.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2026, with visitation one hour prior to the service, at Lane Family Funeral Homes, Roberts-Clark Chapel, 180 Garfield Drive NE, Warren, OH 44483. Pastor Garry Hennesey will officiate.

Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the funeral home.

Nola will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in Crown Hill Burial Park Cemetery, Vienna.
