Nancy J. Fox 1950-2026
WARREN — Nancy J. Fox, 75, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026.
She was born June 22, 1950, in Warren, a daughter of Mauro and Rita Tatalo.
Nancy was a 1968 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School and retired from Warren City Schools.
If you knew Nancy, you knew that she loved her family and friends more than anything. Her wit was sharp, she wasn’t shy about her opinions and her sense of humor left an impression on many.
She created a Christmas Eve experience that spanned decades, one that family and friends still reminisce about today. We still laugh about the Christmas she delivered an impassioned speech on why dropping cookie dough by spoonful onto baking sheets was one of life’s most unnecessary forms of torture. When it came time to pass along the recipes and traditions, details were often light, but they ended the same way: “Make it with love” and “Don’t forget to have fun.” Those weren’t just instructions for cooking; they reflected how Nancy lived her life.
She was married to Donald C. Fox Jr. for more than 50 years. Together they built a life in Warren, raising a family and sharing a partnership that endured through both life’s joys and challenges. She also leaves behind her daughter, Jessica Fox of St. Louis, Missouri; and son Donald C. Fox III of Warren. She always encouraged her children to live boldly and follow their own path.
In addition to her husband and children, she is survived by sisters, Mary Jo Napolet, Rosemary Mackey and Annette (Tom) Drummond; brother-in-law, James Nicastro; sister-in-law, Kathy Sok; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; in-laws, Mary and Donald C. Fox Sr.; a sister, Esther Nicastro; and brothers-in-law, Terry Mackey and Brian Fox.
While she will be deeply missed, her family and friends find comfort in knowing that she is at peace and reunited around the dinner table with those who went before her.
Family and friends may call 10 to 11:25 a.m. Friday, June 12, 2026, at Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road, Warren, where a celebration of life service will take place at 11:30 a.m.
Nancy’s family would like to thank the staff at Continuing Health Care at the Ridge for the care and dignity they showed throughout her illness.
