Mary Lou Culp 1942-2026
CHAMPION — Mary Lou Culp, 83, of Champion, died Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Mulberry Gardens Memory Care.
She was born Sept. 8, 1942, in Warren, the daughter of Steven A. and Mary Nusser Sohayda.
Mary Lou worked as a school bus driver for Champion Schools for many years before she retired in 2002.
She is survived by two sons, David Culp of North Royalton and Daniel Culp of Peninsula; one brother, Harry Strawn of Niles; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls. A funeral service will immediately follow at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will follow.
Mary Lou will be laid to rest in Champion Township Cemetery.
