Lonnie Reed 1947-2026

Born to Freda and Joe Reed of Upshur County, W.Va., he remained deeply connected to West Virginia and those mountains.

Lonnie was proud to serve his country from 1966 to 1968 in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed fishing, baseball, Cleveland sports teams, auto racing, horse racing, the Pittsburgh Penguins, was a fanatic Elvis fan and loved dogs, especially his dog, Willie.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Linda.

Lonnie is survived by his brother, Bob Reed; three children and their spouses, Beckie and Chris Padovan, Frankie Reed and Joe Reed and Leea Coryea; three grandchildren, Lindsay, Brendan and Kaitlyn; and many nieces and nephews.

Lonnie remained committed to a life of service, providing care to Frankie and all of us.

A private service will take place to honor him and what he meant to us.

Respects may be paid by donating, in his name, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
