WARREN -- Kathryn A. Brzezinski, 86, formerly of Cortland, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Gillette Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1939, in Warren, one of 16 children born to John and Thedosia Kujawa Brzezinski.
Kathy entered the convent when she was 14 and stayed for 20 years. She graduated from St. John's College in Cleveland. Kathy shared her many gifts with her students at Lakeview Middle School, where she was affectionately known as "Ms. B." A member of St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, she was a true cat lady, and she enjoyed going to lunch with her girlfriends and other former teachers.
Precious memories of Kathy live on with her sister, Josephine Reinard of Niles; her many nieces and nephews and their families; and a wealth of students, colleagues and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents and 14 siblings.
Calling hours will be 5 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 22, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 6 p.m. Monday, with the Rev. Father Steve Agostino officiating.
All who know and love Kathy are welcome to attend and celebrate her incredible life.
Interment will be private in All Souls Cemetery.
