Judith M. Simpson 1944-2026
TWARREN — Ms. Judith Marie Engram Simpson, 82, of Warren, transitioned to her heavenly home on Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus.
Ms. Simpson was born March 25, 1944, in Warren, a daughter of Robert and Betty Burke Engram.
She was a 1961 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School.
A loving and dedicated mother, Judith worked for over 23 years with General Electric Trumbull Lamp, retiring in 1987.
She was a member of Grace A.M.E. Church, where she served as an usher. Judith loved the Lord and ministered to others in the community to introduce them to Christ.
She was also a member of the March Birthday Club. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, fashions, and absolutely loved her family.
She leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her life and legacy, four children, Alex (Tia) Engram of Pataskala, Betty Engram “Recee” Haynes of Youngtown, D’Juana Simpson of Cleveland and Alethea “Mookie” Williams of Warren; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a niece whom she helped to rear, Lynn Annetta (Byron) Wilson of Warren; a sister, Betty (John) Jonson of Deltona, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by Douglas Edge, who raised her; three brothers, Robert “Bobby” Engram, Douglas Edge Jr. and Michael Engram; and a special friend, Henry Brinkley.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon Monday, June 29, 2026, at the Grace A.M.E. Church, 1137 Main St. SW, Warren.
A celebration of life service will follow at noon.
