LAKE MILTON -- Janice L. Vogel Hallock, 94, passed away peacefully into eternal rest Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at her residence.
She was born Sept. 15, 1931, in Newton Falls. She was the daughter of the late William and Ruth Gillespie Vogel.
A lifetime area resident, Janice worked as a bookkeeper and the executive secretary to the vice president at Commercial Press. She was of Methodist faith and was a member of the Newton Falls United Methodist Church.
On Jan. 9, 1948, she married David F. Hallock; together, they shared 64 years of marriage until his passing May 30, 2012. Every January, David and Janice would go to Vermont and snow ski, their most favorite thing to do together.
She is survived by her children, Debbie (Carmen) Gumino of Lake Milton, Jeff (Susan) Hallock of Garrettsville and Brian (Ellie) Hallock of Lordstown; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; their three sons, James, David and Thomas; and one daughter, Diedra.
A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, in the chapel at Palmyra West Cemetery, with Pastor Jennifer Dorn officiating.
Immediately following the graveside service, Janice will be laid to rest next to her husband.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Care Team Hospice, especially Cara, Laura, Cindy, Cathy and Ralph.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like material contributions to be made to Newton Falls United Methodist Church, 336 Ridge Road, Newton Falls, OH 44444.
