Gregory B. Jones 1955-2026

He was born June 23, 1955, in Warren, a son of Ralph Jones and Doris Collier Jones.

A 1973 graduate of Warren Western Reserve High School, he was employed as a steelworker at Copperweld Steel, was a member of the Cortland Moose Lodge and was also a Freemason.

Gregory enjoyed golfing, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his wife, Tamara D. “Tammy” Begeny Jones of Cortland, whom he married July 31, 1976, and with whom he was due to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in a few weeks; his son, Jared Jones of Cortland; and brothers, Ronnie (Debbie) Jones of Newton Falls, Randy (Debbie) Jones of Bradenton, Florida, and Jeff (Becky) Jones of Southington.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home, Warren, where Pastor John Jaros will officiate.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the 4 p.m. service time Saturday at the funeral home.
