Erla M. Libertino 1927-2026
NILES — Erla Mae Libertino, formerly of Warren and Cortland, entered into eternal rest Monday, June 8, 2026, at Niles Way Senior Living.
She was born July 27, 1927, in Edinburg, Pa., a daughter of Hudson and Susan Hunt Dean.
Erla worked as an arc welder during World War II and afterward.
On Sept. 23, 1946, she married Leonard Libertino, with whom she raised a family and enjoyed nearly 44 years of marriage until his passing May 25, 1990.
Erla enjoyed jewelry, makeup and shopping.
She attended First Church of God, Cortland, and Central Christian Church, Warren.
Precious memories of Erla live on with her daughter, Cindy Horner of Warren; five grandchildren, Corey, Carter, Shari, Darlene and Nicole; many great-grandchildren; and other family and friends who adore her and cherish her memory.
In addition to her parents and husband, Erla was preceded in death by her son, Scott Libertino, who passed in 2008; her daughter, Linda Maybee, who passed in 2017; one sister, Dora; and three brothers, Hudson, Bailey and Roy.
Calling hours will be 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 6 p.m. All who know and love Erla are welcome to attend and celebrate her incredible life.
Interment will take place privately in Pineview Memorial Park.
