Dennis R. Bowers 1953-2026

Dennis was born Dec. 5, 1953, in Warren, to Alvin and Winifred Dial Bowers.

Dennis was a paperboy for the Warren Tribune Chronicle for many years, pedaling his bike many miles on the roads of Bristol Township.

Dennis graduated from Bristol Local Schools Class of 1972 and the United Electronic Institute. He began his career as an electronic technician in Mississippi at Ingalls Shipbuilding and NASA.

While working in Mississippi, he met Mikki Thornton; they married July 1, 1979.

They returned to Bristolville, where Dennis worked for Ajax Magnethermic in Warren. He was then transferred to Houston, Texas, where he began a career of over 40 years that took him all over the world.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mikki, in 2020; his parents; sister-in-law, Rachael Bowers; and nephew, Patrick Christlieb.

He leaves behind his daughters, Roxanne (Jim) Ayres and Emily Bowers, all of Houston, Texas; son, Stephen Bowers of California; siblings, George Bowers, Nancy (David) Christlieb, Margie (Ron) Bartholomew, Donna (Bill) Bowers and Donald (Denise) Bowers; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2026, at North Bristol Christian Church in Bristolville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the North Bristol Christian Church.
