David E. Shinoskie 1955-2026

MIMS, Fla. — David E. Shinoskie, formerly of Warren, entered into eternal rest Thursday, May 28, 2026, at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and gallant battle with cancer. He was born Jan. 20, 1955, in Warren, the son of Edwin Shinoskie and Stella Kaszowski Shinoskie.

A 1973 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Dave worked as a skilled trades mechanic for Copperweld Steel, Delphi-Packard Electric, Toyota and Honda. He was gifted with his hands, could build or repair anything and he was especially fond of home remodeling projects. Dave loved to ride his Harley and was an avid fisherman, spending lots of time at the ocean after he and Rose moved to Florida eight years ago. He was a true family man who loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.

Dave was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church while in Warren, and Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Florida. An inspiration to everyone, he was an all-around good guy who loved everyone and never complained, even through chemotherapy.

Precious memories of Dave live on with his beloved wife of nearly 44 years, Rose Buonavolonta Shinoskie, whom he married Nov. 5, 1982; two daughters, GinaMarie Shinoskie of Warren, and Jessica Shinoskie (Nick Miller) of Marysville; two grandchildren, Chloe and Stella; and his brother, Steven Shinoskie (Lori) of Warren.

His parents precede him in death.
