Candace L. Prentice 1948-2026
FARMDALE — Candace L. “Candy” Prentice, 78, of Farmdale, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.
She was born March 30, 1948, in Titusville, Pa., the daughter of John Drozdo and Anna Pearl Winters Drozdo.
Candy, as she was affectionately known, enjoyed crafts, flower gardening, fishing, four-wheeling with her husband and shopping with her daughter and sister. She was the love of Donald’s life. She loved her dogs, Chewy and Reese.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Donald Prentice; daughters, Stacey Gilson and Stephanie Pollock; sisters, Ann Brown and Margaret Armstrong; grandchildren, Brian (Samantha), Chad (Emily), Jerod, Norman and Jamie (Mark); and great-grandchildren, Caden, Lucy and Chad.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lee Gilson.
A memorial service will take place at noon Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Living Water Methodist Church, 6262 Youngstown Kingsville Road, Farmdale, OH 44417. A luncheon will follow at the Johnston Fire Hall.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home.
