Ralph Terence “Terry” Williams 1935-2026 1935-2026
NILES — Ralph Terence “Terry” Williams died peacefully on Wednesday morning May 13, 2026, after a brief illness.
Ralph was born Sept. 8, 1935, in Warren, and lived in this community his entire life.
He worked for 38 years at Ohio Edison, after which he fulfilled a lifelong dream and became a police officer. He worked for the Braceville Police Department for 10 years and the Warren Auxiliary Police. He honorably served as a paratrooper in the United States Army’s 11th Airborne Division and was an avid Harley rider. He was a longtime member of the Blue Knights, the F.O.P. Lodge 120 of Newton Falls and St. Pope John XXIII Parish — St. Stephen Church.
Ralph will be missed by his wife of 68 years, Martha Elizabeth (Butcher) Williams, whom he married January 18, 1958; daughter, Elizabeth Kelly (Russell) Brown of Henderson, Texas; two sons, Jeffrey Terence (Kelli) Williams of Lewis Center and Matthew Terance (Mark Hollern) Williams of Grandview Heights; daughter-in-law, Carol Williams of Edmond, Oklahoma; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Adeline Bridget (Stein) Robison; her husband, James Frederick Robison; his father, Ralph Waldo Williams; his son, Michael Terance Williams; his infant daughter, Christina Louise Williams; and siblings, David Williams, Sue Trifilette and Elaine Holloway.
A Service of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Monday May 18, 2026 at Holeton-Yuhasz Funeral Home where family and friends may call one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Ray Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in St. Stephen Cemetery.
