Mary Margaret Milone 1933-2026

WARREN — Mary Margaret “Mike” Milone, 93, entered into eternal life peacefully on Monday, April 27, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital after a long illness, with family by her side.

She was born March 26, 1933, in Glasgow, Scotland, the beloved daughter of Abraham “Abe” and Mary Margaret “May” Grimason Spencer.

She met her husband, Paul, when he was in Scotland on leave from the Navy. They were married and made their home in Warren, later moving to Howland, where she raised their seven children.

She worked at the VFW in Howland and also at TCTC in the school cafeteria, later moving on to a job she loved as a teacher’s aide working with special needs children.

She was an active member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Howland for many years.

Margaret was a vivid reader and enjoyed knitting, baking and her British club. Her biggest joy came from caring for her family.

She is survived by her brother, David (Rosa) Spencer; sister, Vivien (Bill) McLeod; sons, Mark (Ginger), Mitchell and Michael (Christine); daughters, Michelle (Jeff) Disko, Marisa and Marlea (Mike) Esposito; grandchildren, Jason, Mark, Nicole, Alana, Dominic, Kirk, Joseph, Marlea and Anthony; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Milone; son, Matthew Milone; great-grandson, Grayson Coates; and a nephew, Scott Spencer.

Friends and family may visit 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Living Lord Lutheran Church, 851 Niles Cortland Road NE, Warren, with a memorial service at 10 a.m.

Inurnment will follow in Howland Township Cemetery.
