Karen S. Rickard 1952-2026

She was born April 15, 1952, in Warren, the daughter of Robert Capron and Gloria Villers Capron Brown.

Karen was proud to be from Leavittsburg and was a 1971 graduate of LaBrae High School. A strong woman of many talents, Karen had owned and managed an apartment complex in California. In Ohio, she found employment in factories and in nursing homes as an STNA.

A member of Life Church in Leavittsburg, Karen found great pleasure in reading and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. She was an avid people watcher.

Precious memories of Karen live on with her daughter, Tiffany Smith (Colton) of Warren; three grandchildren, Nicholas Frantz, Joshua Frantz and Aden Kistler; her sister, Linda Slater of Warren; her brothers, Eugene of Champion and Robert Capron of Cortland; and other family and friends who adore her and think of her fondly.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her stepfather, Kenneth Brown Sr.; her sister, Judy Joseph; her brothers-in-law, the Rev. Jack Slater and Jerry Joseph; and her sisters-in-law, Barb Capron and Karen Capron.
