Judy A. Thorn 1942-2026

She was born on April 27, 1942, in Reedsville, W.Va., the daughter of the late Harriet Mancuso Osborne.

Judy worked as a line worker at HK Porter, as well as many other places in Warren. She was known for her kind and caring nature, especially her love for animals, especially her dog, Daisy. She enjoyed feeding and caring for all animals on her property and during her rides, in the side-by-side with her husband George.

She was always described as the perfect wife and found joy in helping others. A love that found its way into community programs like Al-Anon, which she was very active and passionate as a member.

Judy also loved all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; they were her pride and joy. She is survived by her husband, George Thorn, who shared 67 wonderful years of marriage; her sons, Mark (Debbie) Thorn and Greg (Darlene) Thorn; her grandchildren, Christopher Thorn, Stacie (Scott) Eliseo, Ryan Acklin and Brianna (Chuck) Furbee. She also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren, Brooklyn (Luca) Cardenas, Maddox Eliseo, Teagan Hoover, Audrey Acklin, Owen Acklin, Chaz Furbee and Grace Furbee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Tracey Lynn Thorn; and her grandson, Scott Everett Thorn.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the 5th and 6th floor of St. Joseph Warren Hospital and Hospice of the Valley Hospice House. Their care and compassion will always be remembered.

Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, 2026, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.

She will be laid to rest in Sager Cemetery, following services.
