James D. Hoover 1942-2026

He was born March 9, 1942, in Fredonia, Pa., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dent B. Hoover.

Jim worked as a molder for Packard Electric for many years before retiring. He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Precious memories of Jim live on with his two sons, Michael Hoover (Margaret Derbyshire) of Syracuse, New York, and Jeffrey Hoover (Ellen Sanzo) of Northfield; two grandchildren, Stephanie Hoover (Charles Redford) of Ware, Massachusetts, and Ian Rudy of Syracuse, New York; and other extended family members.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his beloved wife of nearly 58 years, Patricia Ann Taylor Hoover, whom he married Aug. 24, 1963, and who passed July 12, 2021.

Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, with services at 11 a.m.

All who knew and loved Jim are welcome to attend and celebrate his good life.

Entombment will follow in All Souls Cemetery.
