Harry D. Ludeman 1928-2026
HOWLAND — Harry D. Ludeman passed away on his 98th birthday, Saturday morning, May 9, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital after a short illness.
Harry graduated with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. He had a successful career, retiring from the Mitre Corporation in Fairfax, Virginia.
Harry loved to travel, whether it was for business or for pleasure with his loving wife, Helen, whom he was married to for 42 years. They loved seeing new places and learning about different cultures. During his life, some of his most memorable trips were to Greenland, the UK, Germany, Iceland and Vietnam. Most of all, Harry cherished the company of his family and friends.
Harry is survived by his wife, Helen Spirko Ludeman; brother-in-law, Robert Spirko; niece, Alisha Spirko Compton of Cuyahoga Falls; and nephew, Christian Spirko of Hinckley.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Harry 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 2026, at Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren.
A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Bazetta Township.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Harry’s name may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
