Everett C. Woods 1942-2026

Everett was born June 17, 1942, in Conasauga, W.Va., the son of the late Dennis Everett and Dorothy Inez Self Woods. He came to this area as an infant and remained a lifelong resident.

Everett worked for more than 30 years as a towmotor operator at the General Motors Lordstown Assembly, retiring in 1997. In his free time, he enjoyed square dancing and was an enthusiastic supporter of the Youngstown Phantoms and the Mahoning Valley Scrappers.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, the former Bonita M. Boito, whom he married Sept. 21, 1963; his daughter, Tracy Blake of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two sons, Robert “Joe” (Kristine) Woods of North Jackson and Dennis (Holley) Woods of Peoria, Illinois; eight grandchildren, Mario, Jessica, Joshua, Joe, Taylor, Kyle, Dyson and Holden; and five great-grandchildren, Jacob, Taylor, Hayden, Braeden and Connor.

Everett is also survived by his siblings, Hazel Custer of Akron, Alta Rogers of Tallmadge, Raymond Woods of Medina, Patty Mothersbaugh of Akron, Nancy Beachy of Hartville and Brenda Triola of Akron.

In addition to his parents, Everett was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert “Willy” Woods, Jerry Woods and Franklin Woods; and his sisters, Pam Vaughn, Rose Ukrainiec and Shelby Smith.

Family and friends may call 10 to 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel, with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m.
