Charles C. Eddy Sr. 1935-2026
Together again
NEW MIDDLETOWN — Charles C. “Bob” Eddy Sr., 91, peacefully entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday evening, May 14, 2026, while surrounded by his loving family, at the Masternick Memorial Health Care Center in New Middletown.
Bob is reunited once again with his beloved wife, Shirley, and his greatest joy in life was the family that they built together.
Bob was born April 15, 1935, in Republic, Pa., the son of the late Charles S. and Marie E. Hackney Eddy.
He was a 1953 graduate of Howland High School and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserves.
Side by side, Bob and Shirley lovingly raised their three children, Chuck, Lana (Clay) Campfield and Lindy (Chuck) Baker, and cherished the opportunity to invest in the lives of their six grandchildren, Kelly (Peter) Verostko, Chuckie (Shannon) Eddy, Bobby (Santana) Eddy, Morgan (Jamarious) Boatwright, Paige (Ivan) Adu-Poku and Adam; and nine great-grandchildren.
A devoted man of faith, Bob loved serving the Lord alongside Shirley at their church home, Old North Church in Canfield.
Bob was also widely known throughout the Youngstown area for his remarkable 50-year legacy as a respected Chrysler dealer. Along life’s journey, he formed countless friendships and deeply valued the people he met both in and out of business. He will be remembered for his humor, kindness, generosity, and his constant concern for the needs of others, qualities he carried with him to his last day.
Though deeply missed, Bob’s family finds comfort in knowing he is now in the eternal presence of the Lord. They smile, imagining him once again driving a golf ball far down a Heavenly fairway, with Shirley at his side.
In accordance with his wishes there will be no formal funeral services or calling hours. A private family service will be held to honor Bob’s life.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Masternick Memorial Health Care Center Activities Fund, 5250 Windsor Way, New Middletown, OH 44442.
Arrangements for Mr. Eddy are being provided by the Lane Funeral Home, Canfield Chapel, 65 N. Broad St., Canfield.
