Bernadette M. Harris 1959-2026

She was born July 27, 1959, in Mercer, Pa., the daughter of Homer and Joan Burns Wimer.

A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Bernadette worked as a legal secretary for The Urban Company LPA. Her interests varied from walks by the lake to riding on the back of a motorcycle or in a convertible. When indoors, she enjoyed puzzles, arts and crafts, and listening to George Strait and other country artists.

Most of all, she was thrilled to be a grandma and was always there for sporting events and dance recitals.

Precious memories of Bernadette live on with her two children, Bryan Harris (Vanessa) and Krystyne Orr, both of Howland; her stepdaughter, Lisa Hendricks (Thomas), of North Carolina; her fiance, David Black of Howland; five grandchildren, Alexis and Luke Harris, Abel Orr, and Benjamin and Isabella Hendricks; her sister, Donna McDougal (David), of Warren; and other family and friends who adore her and think of her fondly.

Preceding Bernadette in death were her parents and her daughter, Jamie Wimer.

Calling hours will be 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2026, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, where services will begin at 11 a.m. All who know and love Bernadette are welcome to attend and celebrate her incredible life.

Interment will follow in All Souls Cemetery.
