Yolanda Nussle 1932-2026

NEWTON FALLS -- Yolanda Nussle, 93, passed away peacefully into eternal rest Monday, March 30, 2026, at Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.

She was born May 17, 1932, in Buffalo, New York, the daughter of the late Hursh Yost and Betty Peticrew Yost.

Yolanda married the love of her life, Walter K. Nussle, on Dec. 3, 1955; they enjoyed 66 years of wonderful marriage together until Walt passed away on Oct. 9, 2021.

Yolanda lived in Newton Falls most of her life. She was the co-owner/operator with Walt of Nussle Florist and Greenhouses in Newton Falls, which she did for more than 40 years until her retirement.

Yolanda was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Newton Falls and the Order of the Eastern Star, Leading Star Chapter 79.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Yetta Foster; and her husband, Walter.

Yolanda is survived by three sons, Scott and Debbie Nussle of Newton Falls, Jeffrey and Jill Nussle of Cortland and Brian and Deanna Nussle of Newton Falls; and five grandchildren, Justin, Jason, Sean, Stephanie and Zachary.

Funeral services will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the James Funeral Home in Newton Falls, with Jim Luonuansuu officiating.

Calling hours will be 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Walt, in Newton Falls Cemetery.
