Waymond J. Stovall Sr. 1931-2026
WARREN — Waymond Jefferson Stovall Sr., 94, died Sunday, March 29, 2026, at St. Joseph Warren Hospital, following an extended illness.
He was born July 1, 1931, in Sandusky, a son of Winfred and Theodoshia Singleton Stovall.
He retired from employment as a mechanic at General Electric, Austintown, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughters, Virginia Mason of Warren and Theresa Churchwell of Columbus; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Waymond was preceded in death by his wife, Ossie Mae Churchwell Stovall; his sons, Waymond Jefferson Stovall Jr. and Sheldon Dewey Stovall; four brothers; and four sisters.
Calling hours will be 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Second Baptist Church, Warren.
Services will begin at noon Saturday, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church, Sandusky.
Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.
Arrangements were by the Sterling-McCullough Williams Funeral Home, Warren, and the Toft Funeral Home and Crematory, Sandusky.
